Dilemma

Wifey is not feelin too good again, her excessive morning sickness is back, and she is on mc today.. junior seems to like long weekends. *faint* its kinda of worrying to see tat she is in tis condition for past weeks, our doc says its perfectly norm, but will employers understand? even asked few friends around n u will hear all sort of stories.. some bad till hv to quit job, some managed to "survive" through the ordeal.. with wifey condition, i think its safer for me to get a stable job n consider the options... but kinda puts me in a spot now, should i just go for any job tat comes first? of course it has to meet my expectations then... or wait till i get something i like to do since i'm goin back to the rat race? Should i go for the money or the passion? Dilemma... well, guess its no point having to worry too much i guess, will just try to take things a step at a time.. now, just keep on exploring for opportunities n pray hard lor... :P k, got to go back to work. to all the visitors here, have a good week ahead!! ps i think one best solution is for me to strike TOTO tonight!! HAHAHAA!

Circumstances..

in life, we need to adapt to circumstances, life itself have many of suprises.. Forest Gump once said "Life is like a box of chocolate, you aint' know what is in it" as we are watching the miracle happenin, we also need to look at the future n plan much much ahead.. n these r new plans where priorities need to be reassigned.. wifey mornin sickness is gettin from bad to worse, then again guess its not as bad as it sounds, she can still walk n talk, its just the constant "dizzy, nauseous" feeling.. anyway, told her tat we should take it as an experience which we can share w junior when he is older... will tell him/her tat he/she better b a good kid cos mummy puke many times while carrying u ... :) anyway, many things need to change, as i hv all tis things in mind.. the best thing to do now is to open up ur mind to many possibilities n plans, n t refine it to the best possible one so tat when junior is out, we can then have ease of mind... crucial problems beside communication n support during tis period of time, is also practicality in life.. we all live in a society where everythin u touch is money, so finances r v important, else it will b only an added stress.. so, let the opportunities flow in, u never try, u never know... "if u believe u can, u hv won half the battle.."

Is it true that I shouldn't wear high heels while i'm pregnant?

Question: Is it true that I shouldn't wear high heels during pregnancy? I hate the thought of never being able to dress up and put my heels on again. Daphne Metland: Never say never! It's not a good idea to wear high heels during pregnancy, but that doesn't mean you can't wear them occasionally. The problem with high heels is that they alter your posture and put a strain on your lower back. The ligaments that control this area are softened in pregnancy so it's more likely that they can be stretched and damaged. Add to that the additional weight of your growing baby and the combination of baby and high heels could contribute to lower back pain, which can be severe. Flatter shoes are a better bet on a day-to-day basis. They will ensure that you are comfortable, and minimise the strain on your back (though good posture is important here as well). Keep your high heels for high days and holidays, and slip a pair of flatties in your bag so you can change into something more comfortable. Be warned, too: your feet can get wider in pregnancy, so if you have a much coveted pair of Manolos, they may stretch and not fit you afterwards. How to relieve bloating n indigestion?

Question: How can I relieve bloating and indigestion? Answer: This annoying problem is caused by the major doses of estrogen and progesterone your body produces early in pregnancy to relax smooth muscle tissue throughout your body — including your gastrointestinal tract. A relaxed tract slows your digestive processes, which can cause bloating, indigestion, and a generally miserable sensation in your gut, especially after a big meal. You'll probably have to live with some indigestion while you're pregnant, but you can do a few things so you don't get it as frequently or severely:*
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing, with nothing tight around your waist or stomach.
  • Instead of eating three big meals, have several small meals throughout the day. Take your time eating, and chew thoroughly.
  • Avoid foods that cause you gastrointestinal distress. The usual suspects are soda, alcohol (which you should be avoiding anyway; see alcohol during pregnancy), processed meats, and spicy, highly seasoned, fried, and fatty foods.
  • Don't smoke (again, this is a habit you should break before getting pregnant). Gain a sensible amount of weight and stay within the guidelines your healthcare provider suggests.
  • Other tips: • Bend at the knees instead of at the waist • Wait at least an hour after meals before lying down • Sleep with your upper body propped up with several pillows • Take a low-sodium antacid, such as Tums
  • Talk to your doctor if your discomfort continues.

AMAZING! AMAZING!!!

wifey didnt feel well today.. so, she had to take the day off.. i rushed off for my meetings n came back after settling it all in the afternoon... and since she wasn't feeling well, we thought tat my as well go for the next gynae visit earlier and at same time to consult him on it... so there we go, setting off to Compass Pt. to see the much talked about Dr. Adrian.. we reached there early, so registered n went to grab something to eat while waiting.. it was our turn, anticipation was set high as we have heard so much about him.. once we r in, we r very pleased with his appearance and felt comfortable having him as ur gynae t go through the whole process... the chemistry was there i have to say.. went through the standard process of understanding the family medical history, blood pressure, and then we did a scan, the view was abit dark in all, but we saw the pouch n most importantly, HEARTBEAT!! It is amazing how a little "squiggly" one can turn to a lifeform!! Junior is kicking!! :) We have the printout, maybe for the close ones, can share share to see lor.. He said tat wat wifey going thru is normal, but the stronger the nausea n giddiness is, the better it is cause junior is actively growing.. we didn't hesitate takin up his pre-natal package cause we felt very much confident in him.. if keen to know how much it cost, pm me the view on the screen still lingers in my mind till now... *heartbeat*,*heartbeat*.... the pace was quite fast actually.. :)

Hungry and always Hungry

This is the 1st time i'm updating the blog. Guess i'm feeling much better, with reduced nausea. What a relief~~ hope it stays tis way. At this stage, can't see much except for a little bulge at my tummy area. Feeling hungry very often, I've piled my cabinet and 1/3 of my table with edibles (biscuits, snacks, etc). However, many advised me not to eat too much, for the fear of growing sideways in no time! But I'm very very very hungry.. Well, i do hear lots of advices, and I thank the ppl ard me, esp my hubby.. who have given me lotsa support, lotsa love, lotsa advices.. but sometimes, i'm overwhelmed by so many different views, until i'm scared.. gee... anyway in another x months time, our little junior will arrive. so that will be another different stage of my life.. ah... just take a step at a time.. will be going to the gynae tis weekend and have a second scan, hopefully bb is in good shape.. Meanwhile, take care, be cool and happy.. Catz

Some Question and answers on some food, whats' ur comment?

Question I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions. Q1)Is Bird's Nest soup good for pregnant women? I'm 12 weeks pregnant, I would like to know what are the benefits of consuming the traditional Bird's Nest soup, if any. Q2) I understand that spinach, when cooked in soup or stir fry, the stock derived from the spinach will destroy/reduce the nutrients in the other ingredients (chicken, fish, meat etc) and even the nutrients in other dishes for the meal. Is this true? Answer Bird's Nest, is the salivary secretion of the male sea swifts. It is made up of pre-digested form of protein and nutrients. It is believed to help speed up recovery of chronic illness but there is no study to confirm nor disprove this. Pregnant women are especially encouraged to consume Bird's Nest because it is believed that the baby will have a beautiful glowing complexion (again no study to confirm that). However, one must be aware that Bird's Nest is known to trigger moderately severe allergic reactions in people who are allergic to it. Spinach contains high concentrations of oxalic acid which can interfere with the utilization of calcium or magnesium in the diet. Other than this effect, spinach does not destroy any nurtients. tis was taken fm a Q&A in the ezyhealth mag.. so how many of u out there have tested n can confirmed tat bird nest taken during pregnancy makes the difference??
