"miracle" pack..

After many days of placing the 'miracle pack' on my tummy, my phlegm n flu finally got better.. phlegm's almost cleared and flu bug's gone. guess the 'Yu Guo' sinseh really works, if not daddy n mummy wouldnt bring me there every month right? daddy's gone to KL since yesterday morning.. i really missed him so much.. cant sleep during the nite.. woke up so many times n think mummy's gg crazy having to put me bk to sleep everytime.. but i tink i really miss daddy. it jus happens everytime he's not at my side. my appetite's coming back slowly.. taking 2 big bowls of porridge n 2 tbsps of cereal everyday.. mummy cooks delicious porridge every evening.. luv it man! donno y, i jus don like to drink fm the bottle.. still prefers drinkg directly fm mummy.. prob i miss her warmth.. :) if i get better this wk, daddy n mummy promised to bring me for a swim.. donno still can fit into the thermal suit.. shd be alright, cos i slimmed down quite a bit.. but my tummy's bulging out.. gotta do some sit-ups.. ha! chk out my latest photo.. ppl says i look more like dd now.. wat do u think?

the prince is back!!

there r always 2 camps of tots to every lil thing to debate about.. to expose ur kid to medicine at tender age or not? to believe in western medicine or ancient practices of the chinese medicine? well, i guess tat the way life is... ethan after takin for 5 days of the PD's medicine shows signs of recovery but slow n his phlegm just sounded worse, so we decided to bring him to the chinese baby massage, for some reason he reacts better to the latter treatment, so perhaps we should just bring him to the chinese method next time round? afterall, its only the massage n a herb bag we placed at his navel... no intake of medicine which might not be good for his age? i guess all parent hv tis dilemma... then again there r parent i know tat will just let the bug go away by itself, n let their lil one fight it by beefin up their immune system? so wat will u do? hmm.... anyway, prince is back! he still coughs n havin slight flu, but his smile n activeness is back! oh yeah baby! n he loves porridge!! mummy hv cooked delicious porridge for the weekend n he whacked like almost a huge bowl of it for past few days.... and the best part out of all tis..... for the past few days when he was fed porridge for dinner..... HE SLEPT THRU THE NITE!!! OMG, it felt like the longest time tat we had time to sleep thru... :) yesterday, we attended a full month party, n he was again "kidnapped" by people carryin him around... u see the thing is he doesnt mind anyone carryin him n doesnt hv stranger anxiety, so everyone just lurves him.... anyway, good tat he is so much loved by everyone... k, he is sleepin now n i've had chance to pay all the bills n clear some work, n doin tis post, got to go... will be travellin again nx week, hopefully by then he will b fully recovered.... ciao!

cough gettin phlegmy, but on road to recovery..

prince's cough got more phlegmy today so he refuses to even drink the expressed milk... luckily he still took cereal n porridge tho.... no choice, so brought him back to the chinese medicine place for bb massage... hopefully it helps... the nice thing is the flu is goin away, n at least he is slowly gettin back to his bubbly self... hope all tis is over soon in the next day or so... btw, if someone who has been followin tis blog doesnt like how its written, my advice PLEASE STOP READING!

sigh, prince fell sick.. down w fever, cough and flu

DAMN, i wonder where he got this flu n cough bugs from! Beginning from last friday onwards, it was no fun at all, first he showed sign of getting fever in school when mummy picked him up, he had 37.3.. then at nite, it shot up to 38.9! sigh.... half of Saturday was spent waiting for his turn to see the PD as she is very popular.. we actually went around to see if can get somewhere with shorter q, no luck... anyway, we managed to see the Pd only at about 1230hrs, then we headed home after tat... from then till today, he has fever which swings up and down, flu and cough which he still has it now... fever subsided on day 3, but this morning it went up again... i ended up needing to nurse him by sponging whole night cos didnt want to wake him up to take the medicine which he dreads! and tot my as well let him rest more, cos if gives him medicine, he will cry n it will interrupt his mood to sleep better... well, now he is sleeping n i decided to experiment by letting him sleep on a "higher" pillow, perhaps tat helps his airway breathing cos if he lies flat, all the mucus probably irritates and blocks his air passage, makes sense? also did some research on the medicine he is taking, did u all know tat some medicine hv different side effects on children? Salbutamol for example, which is for clearing of air passage is known to have a common side effect of trembling? it's scary when u sees it, its like going into a short convulsion. :( anyway, we stopped giving him tat n he know takes chloropheramine for flu and mucoslovan for cough.. btw, mummy didnt take care of him cos she is also down with flu and cough! its so coincidental tat the first n now the second time tat prince falls sick with cough n flu, mummy has it too! daddy cannot afford to fall sick, so swallow 2 Redoxon with Zinc a day! anyway, he didnt go for the bb contest on sunday as well becos of tis.... we see it as giving chance to other babies to win! :P he actually had his "fans" equipped with cameras wanting to take his pic! :P Importantly hopes he gets much better tomorrow n can send him back to sch... he is showing good signs now.... We concluded 2 things from this and last time experience of him fallin sick, he wants to drink only direct when unwell, anything else he will refuse! ; he DREADS n HATES medicine, no matter how hard we coaxed him, no way means no way! well, i guess tis is all part of growing up needing to go thru these... wait wait, before i go, he is already cruising nowadays, meanin supported with something he can grab, he will move along... n don know where he learns tis, but he is shaking his head in a "no" motion sometimes, like he knows things he doesn't want... :) we r so proud of him!! pix of him sleepin on the "higher" pillow... looks effective tho cos he is breathing easier, but don think good for his back.. maybe tis time do an exception.

been really bz... anyways, ethan's frequent poo-ing has stopped! great! he has been hyper active, we guess tat he is exploring his new found abilities to utter "words" and crawling + walking, he is all over the place!! tiring at times needing to cope w his stamina, but yet so much fun!! tis weekend gonna be more adventurous, will update u all when its nearer on wat is it about... k, will write more again nx round.. anyway, in tis post is a pix of his new "pearly whites"!! (abit blurry tho)

Akan Datang! Prince will be 8 months old!!

bb's coming to 8th mth nx wk oredi.. time flies.. happy tt his bottom teeth finally sprouted, but on the other hand, mummy's worried tt he'll bite on the nipple while breastfeeding (which he's oredi playg w it.. ouch..) but then cant worry too much, shd b happy to see him grow.. will continue to bf him til probably 1 or 1.5 yrs old.. if can still tahan lah..

well he can now sit on his own, except not knowg how to sit fm standg position.. bet he's gonna walk v soon.. n gotta 'child-proof' the house then.. can recognize daddy n mummy n laughed alot everyday when we pick him up fm school..

anyway hv enrolled him for bb contest nx sunday.. gonna b his 1st debut.. scully ppl cant resist his charm n endorse him for commercial.. hee.. day dreaming.. but tt'd b great.. :) anyway will take pics n show u all.

6th June 2007 - the day my 2 front tooth was discovered! another milestone..

as the title says, i now have my two front tooth!! no wonder i still am poo-ing twice a day even with the lactobacilus helpin.. so cute, tiny lil pearly whites protrudin slight out from the gums... anyway, in last post... the pic background is the new toy daddy n mummy bought for me, its one of those inflatable playground where u can have lotsa of plastic balls in it! so much fun and yummy to be tasting the different color ones.. haha! today mummy bought another new toy to be played in the car... its a remote steering wheel tat controls some lighting and sounds of animals on a picture pad.. will take the pic one day, easier to see that visualize w tis explanation.. prince seems to be takin longer naps nowadays, probably cos he is full n contented, cereal n milk for breakfast, and today he finshed 0.5 bowl of porridge! yeah!!!

why the change of the blog name? i figured ethan is not gonna like ericathjr when he grows up and can do the update to tis blog himself. Initially i tried changin to ethanlee.blogspot but taken, so princethan was the next choice.. anyway, his diarrhea is improving after 4 capsules of the lactobacilus, he poo twice a day n its no longer so watery.. good, should have gotten this checked earlier. his grandparent was in town on the weekend, so he was havin fun with them, and everyone loves him cos he is cute and smiley always.. we are so proud of him. on the weekend he had a big bowl of porridge as well, mummy prepared chicken stock n cooked the porridge with potatoes n carrot, of course blended. he is takin cereals for breakfast n porridge for lunch in school nowadays.. good tat his appetite is growing, hopefully he can catch up to meet the 50 percentile range soon. oh no, my notebook batt is low.. here is a pix n will update again..

PD check up.. 2nd June

went to PD today for check up since Ethan has got diarrhea for close to 3 weeks, and the PD suspects tat its due to some viral which causes it and probably he got it from the sch! :( so the remedy, live Lactobacilus (healthy bacteria) and its $3 per capsule! wow! then, we also asked for him to be given the pneumoccocal vaccination, well, we tot since we can afford it, might as well give him wat we can.. its $170 per jab and 3 dosage required.. call it kiasu or watever but he is precious and we don want to take any chances... supposedly tis jab will also cos him to have fever, but touch wood, so far he has been good. he too has lost some weight, probably cos by the diarrhea, hopefully he will gain it back soon.. and we will pump him up with more porridge n fruits... imagine the damage done by the PD check-up to our pocket - S$230! eat maggi mee or white porridge "lam lo" liao..
